Scholar Spotlight: Antonio Carmona

Antonio Carmona with Family Service Toy Drive Donations

As a part of our Scholar Spotlight series, we sat down with DLFF/CEC Scholar, Antonio Carmona, to get to know more about him and the various service projects that he’s worked on throughout his time within DLFF.

Antonio Carmona is currently a sophomore at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School set to graduate in the Class of 2026. Antonio is from Bristol, PA and loves to learn new things and enjoys spending his free time playing sports or video games with friends.

Throughout Antonio’s time as DLFF scholar, he has worked on multiple community service projects with his service team and on his own accord. His favorite of the service projects he’s worked on is a Coat Drive he helped organize with his DLFF Service Team for Family Service Association (FS).

This holiday season, Antonio and his peers worked together to support the local toy drive by building and decorating collection boxes, communicating to collection partners, and picking up the generous donations to bring to the FS office for sorting. “What I like most about my service team is that I can see the impact that we are making,” said Antonio.

Antonio’s dedication to his community has also encouraged his family to be more involved. He continued to go above and beyond in his efforts to collect donations for the 2023 Annual FS Toy Drive. He and his mother Kathleen added collection boxes to several of his mom’s Neshaminy Kids Club offices.

Neshaminy Kids Club is a private, non-profit organization that offers a before and after school program/camp program in the Neshaminy School District. Neshaminy Kids Club has six centers that are located in Neshaminy elementary schools and serve Kindergarten-8th grade.

Despite all his incredible service efforts for his community, Antonio says his greatest achievement thus far is his streak of achieving first honors in school. He takes pride in his school work and hopes to continue making first honors each quarter.

For the remainder of his time as a DLFF scholar, Antonio hopes to continue working in the Student Leadership Council (SLC). As for after graduation, Antonio would like to work towards a high-paying job in something related to math or science.

Congratulations and excellent work, Antonio! We cannot wait to see all the amazing work you continue to do.
