ANNOUNCEMENTS

2026 Read for the House

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Philadelphia Region supports families with children who are undergoing serious medical treatments. They provide lodging and meals as well as other critical services.
 
We are inviting all our DLFF Scholars at our partner grade schools to join our 2026 Read for the House team (Team DLFF) and help support families in need.  This year we also thought it would be fun to extend the opportunity to any student at our partner schools; so, Pathway Scholars are encouraged to invite their friends to join our team as well!
 
Our team's goal is to raise $1,500 and DLFF will match dollar-for-dollar all money raised by the DLFF Scholars, up to our goal!
 
You may be asking yourself, how exactly does Read for The House work? Well, after joining our team, scholars will seek donations from family and friends to sponsor minutes they pledge to read. Then, Scholars will log each minute they read throughout the month of February via RMHC's website.  
 
If you have any additional questions, please let me know. 
 
If your child is interested in joining us, please follow these instructions to sign them up:

Step 1. Visit our team page via this link: Team Danaher Lynch Family Foundation
Step 2. Click “Join Our Team”
Step 3. Create a new account (if this is your first time participating with us) or Sign In (if you have participated before)
Step 4. Choose “Reader” as participant type and “Join a Team” for the role
Step 5. Register yourself and set a fundraising goal for yourself (of any amount)
Step 6. Set up your fundraising page. Add your photo of yourself and update “My Story” with details about yourself and why you are participating in this fundraiser (and why others should support you!)
Step 7. Use the share buttons (under Get the Word Out) on the page to ask your family and friends to donate money to sponsor your minutes.
Step 8. To start logging your minutes on February 1st, please use the “Activity Tracking” link at the top of the screen.
